The Colder the Better
The colder it is . . . the more Lady Hugs, now 14.5+ years old loves being outside. This past Friday when it was -2 and the wind gusts made it far colder was no exception.
When I take her outside and after she takes care of essentials, she sniffs each snow flake, paw or foot print on her path. When she is momentarily bored with sniffing, she dives right into the snow like she was six months old. She proceeds to either roll on her back and do multiple doggie angels with her front and back legs swinging back and forth in opposite directions. While she doesn’t do as many angels this year as last . . . she thoroughly enjoys herself. And if she isn’t doing the doggie angels she will take her nose and neck and use it also like a windshield wiper blade. Today her snout carved into the snow 4 to 5 inches thanks to the new snowfall.
